In Photos: The Birth of Russian Nazism, Look Into the All-Russias Fascist Party

Part 1: "Nazis? We Dont Know Any Nazis"

Unlike the White emigre who partnered with the National Socialsts in Europe or the Bolsheviks turned Nazis of the ROA and RONA, this is the unknown story of the most secret and most shameful army of Russian grandfathers who fought for Hitler - National People's Army, abbreviated as RNNA. The rise of Russian fascists. No, not those who are now currently in the Kremlin. This is the original, official All-Russian Fascist Party. The rise of Russias own version of the Nazis party.

Today the Russians who proudly call themselves anti-Fascists, and fighting Nazism, have take their cues from the these movement of the 1930s. But rarely does any Russian admit these movements existed.

They wrote books about their fascism, wore multi-colored swastikas - and creatively combined them with scraps, tricolors and two-headed winged animals. They were proud

Let's start with Stalin's favorite rhetorical trick: ask a question and answer it ourselves.

Q: what movement was the most numerous and widespread among the Russian emigration around the world in the interwar years?

A)Monarchist: for faith, tsar and fatherland?

B)Liberal: for the Temporary Government and Constituent Assembly?

C)Anarchist - for a new, "correct" revolution?

No, no and no again! The most powerful and branched emigration organization among the Russians was created by revolutionaries who were NOT expelled by the Bolsheviks - they continued to conduct pointless party discussions about the "beautiful Russia of the future". And not the monarchists - on the contrary, they knew what leaders they wanted - The monarchists of the White Movement could not share even the empty throne of a non-existent monarchy.

We are talking about: "Rossijskaja Fašistskaja Partija"(RFP) The Russian Fascist Party (RFP) from the Chinese city of Harbin, Manchuria who amassed a following of 20k and the ''Vserossiyskaya Fašistskija Organizatsiya"All-Russian Fascist Organization (VFO) from the USA. Not to mention the he Berlin-based "Partiia Rossiiskikh Osvobozhdentsev Dvizhenie" (PRO) Party of Russian Liberators. Who all merged officially in 1934 to become The All-Russian Fascist Party which lasted from 1931 to 1943

The symbol of the fascist party is a black swastika, sometimes with a double-headed eagle on top.emblem of the All-Russian Fascist Party

In the 1930s, Japanese intelligence began to give money and support to the organization, and things went well for it: it had more than 20 thousand members, created branches throughout Asia and in Germany, established "Russian clubs" and subsidiary structures - for women, children and youth.

Their Führer was a man Konstantin Rodzaevsky, a notary from the Amur region of Russia, His official title was General Secretary. Here he is with Japanese sponsorsin the bottom photo.

In the United States, the All-Russian Fascist Organization (VFO) emerged. Though VFO had less numbers than their Manchurian counterparts, they were well established and significantly wealthy, really wealthy.

Anastasii Vonsyatsky

They were founded by a former resident of Denikin, Anastasii Vonsyatsky. His photo was constantly published in the party newspaper, which was so naively, just named "Fascisti".

Rossiyskaya gazeta "Fashist"

 Russian newspaper simply named "Fascist".

The American Nazi Movement was actually a coalition between the German American Bund and The All-Russian Fascist Organization of Connecticut

Both Führers did not invent anything new, but stupidly imitated Mussolini and Hitler. Swastikas, armbands, slogans, Hitler Youth - absolutely everything, and plus - spiritual stickers. Here, for example, are the teachers and students of the Russian fascist Bible school in New York.

In some works, Pyotr Stolypin, who was killed in 1911 by an anarchist of Jewish origin, was also called the first Russian fascist. Not for nothing that in 1928 in Harbin a book by Fyodor Goryachkin “The First Russian Fascist Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin” was published. This work directly states that Benito Mussolini is the ideological successor of the Russian prime minister

Their love for Hitler did not bring any problems for the fascists of Harbin, but in the USA, the Russian Fuhrer Vonsatsky had to constantly make up falsehoods. Such as, "we are not Nazis at all. German Nazis want to exterminate the Jews - but we dont want to do that."

They ask: "why do you have a swastika?"

"Because this is our ancient Russian symbol, the empress who was killed once painted it on the wall, and in general, it is not Hitler's, but Hitler stole it from us!"

"Well, that's fine, but why when you shout your greeting "Slava Rossiya" - "Glory to Russia!" - do you seig heil with your arm like a Roman salute?"

"And Why is your anthem to the tune of Horst Wessel's Nazi party anthem?"

.

The funniest thing happened with the anthem. Vonsyatsky actually borrowed the melody from the Nazis, and came up with his own words. What kind of lyrics you might ask?

For example: "Vonsyatsky is a leader who despises treason and cowardice and will lead us fascists to a feat." He even recorded on a record how he himself and two other fascists were a poets.

He liked to pose for photos with his colleagues, and plastered everything in the world with swastikas. Here he has a fascist Santa Claus and a fascist Christmas chandelier. Even the dog is a fascist.

.

Vonsyatsky's statements were no less extravagant. After the Great Terror in the USSR, he declared Stalin the world's greatest fascist - because the mustached communists killed many times more than Hitler and Mussolini combined!

And in 1941, after the attack of Germany on the USSR , it was the other way around - he called on Stalin to surrender and hand over power to Anastasia - there is still something to hand over.

Despite all its second nature and caricature, the Russian fascist movement was an influential force. Both parties announced their unification in 1934, and then again in 1940. They opened their own representative offices throughout Europe and gained a lot of supporters.

.

Their worshiper and propagandist was the influential emigrant philosopher Ivan Ilyin. In his articles, he called fascism "the salutary excess of patriotic arbitrariness," and the fascists themselves were his "white brothers." And he wove a lot of other things - but more on that later.

The Americans took the Russian fascists extremely seriously. As soon as Hitler declared war on the USA, Führer Vonsatsky was thrown behind bars along with prominent associates, and his organization was dispersed by the FBI.

The Harbin fascists did not have to fight the communists either. Japan never attacked the USSR, so it cut off the financing of the Russian movement, and in 1943 banned it as suspicious. The general secretary of the party was thrown off track by such twists of fate and events in the world.

In 1945, Hilariously, Rodzaevsky sent a repentant letter to Stalin, in which he renounced fascism and declared himself a Communist. The Kremlin promised him a full pardon and an interesting job as a journalist-agitator. This fool got carried away, arrived - and of course they tricked him and shot him.

.
After a short time in prison, a sharp change took place in the views of Rodzaevsky himself. He stated that "the main Russian nationalist is Stalin." And the USSR allegedly was reborn, became almost the former imperial Russia. He welcomed the defeat of Japan in Manchuria, and in October 1945 he voluntarily returned to his homeland. There, of course, he was immediately sent to court. He was charged with active anti-Soviet activities, in particular, the creation of the RFU. The court also considered that Rodzaevsky was involved in preparing an attack on the USSR together with a number of Japanese generals, collaborated with Japanese and German intelligence, and trained spies and terrorists used against the USSR as part of the RFU. The defendant pleaded guilty and was shot on August 30, 1946

There was indeed a partnership beiween the Nazis of the All-Russian Fascist Organization in Europe, and in1941 they developed into violent activity. The head of the German branch of the VFD, Sergey Ivanov, convinced the leaders of the Wehrmacht to conduct an experiment - and create a diversionary formation from Russians for front-line work. They were planned to be thrown in groups into the Soviet rear - with the end goal of spreading panic and commiting sabotage.

The Council of the Propaganda Effect called the new formation the Russian National People's Army - RNNA.

.

Later, in propaganda, the name was often shortened to simply "Rodina" or "Motherland". Coincidentally, it was the inspirationon for Dmitry Rogozin and his far-right political party which he proudly name "Rodina" in 2004

.

In total, Hitler had at least four Russian armies, and all were named "People's", "National" or "Liberation". Plus the fifth army - the Cossack army of Ataman Krasnov.

In official documents, the Germans called Sergei Ivanov's people's army "Russian special forces battalion" or the "Grey Gola" special unit.

He took Igor Sakharov, the head of the VFD cell in Spain, as his deputy. Fascists and Russian White emigrants with combat experience were also recruited to leadership positions. They dressed in the Soviet uniform - because they had to fight in it. It would seem that the fascists will finally show how to fight for Russia. But unfortunately... it failed.

.

Private soldiers in the fascist people's army were recruited from Red Army soldiers in prisoner-of-war camps. And it turned out to be a bad idea. Because the fascist officers did not trust their soldiers for a single gram and introduced brutal discipline in the unit. The Red Army soldiers saw in the "officers' estates" White Guards and bourgeois, about whom Soviet propaganda had told them so much.

So everything went wrong from the first operation. The fascists were tasked with sabotaging the defense of the surrounded cavalry corps of the former tsarist hussar Pavel Belov. But only a third of the "People's Army" returned from the mission, the rest died or went over to the Reds. And Belov escaped from the encirclement.

Pavel Belov

With such losses, the Germans drew up a diffrent strategy, and transferred the people's Nazis from the front to the rear, against the partisans. There - again the same thing happened. Nothing helped - neither an increase in the number of battalions, nor a change of commanders, nor a new beautiful uniform.

Thus, the Russian People's National Army set a unique anti-record - it became the most incompetent of all Hitler's Muscovite armies, and it disappeared the fastest - just six months after its creation. The commanders went to the Vlasov ROA , and the rest of the soldiers were sent further to the West - let them protect the seashore - and do not touch anything with their hands.

After the war, the Russian fascists who survived, scuttled further - to America and even Australia - lived quietly there and did not utter their mouths for anything. Only one thing did not reach - the fascist philosopher Ivan Ilyin. When the persecution of Jews began in Germany - Ilyin called - quote: "The Nazis will now be perceived from the point of view of the Jews", and hinted that it was their own fault.

.

Ilyin himself fled from Germany and spent the war in Switzerland, where he lived on handouts from the composer Sergei Rachmaninov. After 1945, he again wrote an article about fascism, where he continued to praise the fascists, but advised them not to call themselves fascists anymore.

He also wrote about Ukraine: that its desire for independence is a demand for the "dismemberment of Russia." And there is still a lot of pathos with typical fascist attributes: rejection of the West, xenophobia, chauvinism and calls for repression. In 1954, Ilyin died under the thunder of criticism from other Russian philosophers such as Nikolai Berdyaev, who believed that it is impossible to glorify white tyranny for the sake of fighting red tyranny.

They forgot about Ilyin - and suddenly already in the 2000s in Russia he rose from the dead! Thanks to Vladislav Surkov who engraved Ilyins work into the brain of Vladimir Putin, who quickly became fond of the work and soon became Putins go-to philosopher. After which Ilyin's renaissance really began. They began to publish his books, set up monuments, and quotes were included in the examination tests of the finest Russian Universities and researched by even Western scholors and intellectuals.

Speaker of the parliament Volodin recommends reading Ilyin, he is constantly quoted by the head of the Foreign Ministry Lavrov , and the Kremlin ideologue Surkov writes ideological postulates from him And the biggest devotee transports Ilyin's relics to the land of Moscow Region, to the Donskoy Monastery.

So now Ilyin, the theoretician of Russian fascism, is almost the official ideologue of Putin's regime. Therefore, we will ask a simple rhetorical question: if your ideologist is a fascist Nazi lover, then who are you?

The Union of Fascist Babies (Yes, they actually named it that) was a children's organization of the All-Russian Fascist Party. The published rules of UFB :"Russian boys and girls who believe in God, love Russia, respect Labor." The organization acted in accordance with the Charter of the Union of Fascist Babies.

The stated goal of the Union is "saving Russian children from the influence of the street and denationalization, educating them for the future of Russia in the religious-national fascist spirit
. " The members of the Union could be children of Russian emigrants aged from 3 to 10 years. To join the Union, a note of consent from the parents was enough.

Among the rules for "fascist babies" was, for example, the following: "A fascist baby never plays with Jews, does not take anything from Jews and does not talk to them." Such upbringing was to form a conscious anti-Semite".

In addition to the main party and the "Union of Fascist Babies" mentioned above, subsidiaries were created: "Russian Women's Fascist Movement", "Union of Young Fascists - Vanguard" (for boys), "Union of Young Fascists - Vanguard" (for girls), "Union fascist youth.

The uniform of the fascist "crumbs" (Kroshka) consisted of: for boys -  a black shirt, harness and black trousers, for girls - from a black sundress worn over a white blouse. The Union published the newspaper "Kroshka"
